Secure license activation for OumsAI WordPress plugin

Activation steps

Follow these steps before troubleshooting anything more complex.

01

Find your license key

Check your OumsAI account area and purchase email. Use the same email that completed checkout whenever possible.

02

Install OumsAI

Upload or install the plugin in WordPress, then confirm the OumsAI menu appears in the admin dashboard.

03

Paste and activate

Open the OumsAI license screen, paste the key exactly as provided, and activate it on the intended site.

04

Confirm status

Look for an active status, available updates, and any connected services included with your plan.

Managing your license

Common license situations for stores, agencies, staging sites, and renewals.

Production stores

Each live WooCommerce store should have valid license coverage according to the plan purchased.

Staging and local sites

Development environments are supported when recognized correctly. If a staging URL consumes a seat unexpectedly, contact support.

Moving domains

Deactivate the old domain before activating the new one when you migrate or launch a redesigned store.

Agency use

Client stores need license coverage that matches the number of active production sites being managed.

Account mismatch

If the account email and license email differ, support may need purchase proof before changing ownership.

Lost key

Use your account area first. If the key is still missing, send support the purchase email and order number.

Activation troubleshooting

Most activation issues come from key formatting, domain mismatch, account mismatch, or server communication.

The license key says invalid.

Copy the key directly from your account, remove spaces before or after the key, confirm the purchase is active, and check that you are using the correct account email.

The license is already activated somewhere else.

Deactivate it from the old site if you still control that WordPress install. If you migrated and cannot access the old site, contact support with proof of purchase and both URLs.

Updates are not appearing.

Confirm the license status is active, then check WordPress update transients, caching, and whether outbound requests from the server are blocked.

My staging site used a production activation.

Send support the production URL, staging URL, and account email so the license assignment can be reviewed.

Renewals and plan changes

Keep access to updates and support aligned with the stores you actually manage.

An active license helps keep OumsAI compatible with WordPress, WooCommerce, and the services included in your plan. If your team grows, upgrade before adding client or production sites beyond your allowance.

If you cancel or let a license expire, review the plan terms so you understand what happens to updates, support, and connected AI services.

Renew before busy seasons

Avoid changing license status during campaigns, migrations, holidays, or major catalog work.

Upgrade when operations grow

A larger plan is cleaner than sharing one license across too many live stores.

Keep records

Save invoices, account email, activation URLs, and renewal dates for easier support.
